                Fruit Salad

Now here is a dish that will light both adults and children alike.

Fruit salad is often served for dessert as well as another salad.

If you go to a pot luck, what other dish is so easy to make and one which will be appreciated by all.... especially after a heavy main course and topped with either fresh whipped cream or on top of some plain vanilla homemade ice cream

Basic Fruit Salad

1 can of pineapple tidbits
1 can of mandarin oranges
1 can of either Lichees or/and Jackfruit (cut up into little pieces)
1 oz of either white rum or sweet sherry

Now add (some of each if possible or available)
some whole seedless green and red grapes
scooped out 1 cantaloupe and/or 1/2 a honeydew
a few fresh strawberries and/or fresh raspberries or blackberries

Or cut up apples
If you decide up this option, add a little lemon juice
to prevent the apples from turning colour.

Put all ingredients into a container that can be covered

Gently stir all ingredients until they are evenly distributed in the container, cover the container
and put it into a refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
