Early Spring - Webster Pont - Maitland Ontario

As you travel the #2 highway between Brockville and Prescott, you come to the village of Maitland.

The  St Lawrence River is on the south side of the road and just west of Maitland there is a place to park the your car and enjoy the river.

In the early spring just after all the snow has disappeared there is the feeling of expectation of a busy spring and summer. If you are lucky you might see a salty from somewhere in the world as it plies its way up or down the St Lawrence Seaway.

In the early spring there are no leaves on the trees and you get the opportunity to peek at the many magnificent residences that are often hidden from the road - but not in early spring.

Overhead in the early morning and at night there are great flocks of geese and ducks heading north after their winter stay in they south.

Spring is here along the St Lawrence River and the natives are rejoicing!
