Brockville Waterfront - Early Spring

Brockville

On April 9, the sky and St. Lawrence river in Brockville are an azure blue.  It is still cool outside with the temperature around 8 degrees C.  There is no longer ice floating in the water. Now and again the big freighters of either the Great Lakes fleet or some from a foreign land goes by the waterfront in Brockville.

This year the migrating geese and ducks have started north and their cries can no longer be heard during the night. The local flocks are here to stay and are often found begging for food from people who are starting to emerge from their heated homes to come down to the river and enjoy the sunlight and clear blue sky.

The docks are still empty of pleasure boats and the leaves have not appeared on the trees.  It is early spring and soon sail boats, seadoos, and power boats large and small will be plying the river and summer will be here. :))
